The American Irish Association of Westchester Annual Dinner Dance stands as a cherished tradition on the calendars of community leaders, elected officials, and friends of Irish heritage. The event is a vibrant celebration of the enduring contributions of the Irish and Irish-American community throughout Westchester and beyond.

Hosted each autumn, the Dinner Dance brings together generations to honor Irish culture, history, and service. The Dinner features music, camaraderie, and spirited celebration at the Fairways at Dunwoodie Golf Course in Yonkers, New York, a venue long associated with the event’s rich history and prestige.

At the heart of the celebration is the presentation of the Association’s most esteemed honors: Irish Man of the Year, Irish Woman of the Year, the Community Service Award, and the Spirit of St. Patrick Award. These recognitions pay tribute to individuals whose leadership, dedication, and generosity exemplify the values of Irish heritage—service, integrity, resilience, and community. Each honoree represents not only personal achievement, but also a deep commitment to uplifting others and preserving cultural traditions.

More than an event, the Annual Dinner Dance is a living testament to the strength of the Irish spirit in Westchester County. It is an event where tradition meets celebration, where past and present are honored together, and where friendships are renewed in true Irish fashion. For many, attendance is not simply customary—it is a point of pride and a meaningful affirmation of shared heritage and community.
